Are You In the Other Kingdom?

When you think of the history of the world, there is a very clear answer to the following question: Who has changed the world more than any other?  His name is Jesus, the Christ.  Through simple research, you’ll find that the world has been transformed by those who follow Christ, those in His kingdom, the kingdom of God.  Even for those who don’t follow Jesus, many are enjoying the compassion and empathetic culture that was shaped by centuries of Christian work, such as establishing schools, orphanages, and hospitals.  This is part of the legacy of the work of God’s kingdom.  Yet there is another kingdom…

Though many identify as Christians, the Bible makes it clear that those who truly follow Jesus are Christians.  So, saying you’re a Christian doesn’t mean you are in the kingdom of God or in His family.  If you merely believe that Jesus came, died for the sins of the world and was resurrected, this intellectual belief doesn’t place you in God’s kingdom either.  Believing and following Jesus are what’s required to be in His kingdom and His family.  Unfortunately, the Bible makes it clear that the majority of the people in this world are on the broad road to destruction; they are presently in the other kingdom.  The other kingdom is the kingdom of darkness.  The kingdom of darkness is ruled by satanic forces and by selfish desires.

What you may not know is how Jesus defined the separation between the kingdom of darkness and the kingdom of God.  He said, “He who is not with Me is against Me.”  Those in the kingdom of darkness are from a variety of perspectives:

  • Those who believe that Jesus, the Christ (Messiah), came and died for the wrongdoing of the world and that He resurrected, but they don’t follow Him as Lord.
  • Those who don’t believe that Jesus was the true Christ (Messiah).
  • Those who don’t feel they have any animosity toward Jesus, but don’t follow Him as King, as Lord.
  • Those who hate Jesus and all who follow Christ.
  • Those who believe Jesus was a great teacher, but wasn’t the Christ (Messiah), the Son of God who died for the wrongdoing of the world, and was resurrected.
  • Those who don’t believe there is a God.
  • Those who follow the teachings of Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, or other religions that reject that Jesus is the only way to become part of God’s family.
  • Those who think they can earn their place in the kingdom of God by their own good works.

Simply put, if you don’t believe and follow Jesus as King and Savior, you are in the kingdom of darkness.  This may offend and anger you.  Our intention is only to bring light to your condition and to point you toward the pathway of salvation.  God gives you the free will to reject or receive His great salvation and follow the path He has laid out.  That pathway is a person, Jesus (John 14).  In the end, it is who you know that saves you.  If you know and follow Jesus, you are in God’s kingdom.  If not, you are in the kingdom of darkness.  Would you like to become part of God’s kingdom and His family?  Believe in the work of Jesus, the Christ, repent (change your direction to follow Jesus), and follow Jesus as King.  Follow this link to contact us to let us know of your decision to follow the Savior and Lord of the universe, and we’d love to connect you with the family of God to walk alongside you in this important decision.
